Following a brief description of what you can do with staffRostering. You will see how in just a few steps and soon you will create your shift schedule! Remember that this is only one of many features of staffRostering... 1. Login as AdminYou can customize your login page with your company logo. The login allows the secure access only to authorized users. The username and password are customizable by each employee and coordinator. | 2. Build your company organization
The administrator must build your business model within staffRostering. The company may include facilities, areas, divisions and sections. Every time the administrator creates a new division, staffRostering also creates the division's coordinator. The coordinator can access the application using the registration number as the username and "password" as the password. |
3. Define Contract General Rules The coordinator can insert the division's general rules, such as maximum hours per day, maximum hours per week, etc.. These are general contract rules and are the default for all employees, then obviously you can customize them for each employee on their own contract in detail.
| 4. Insert and enable the shifts
The coordinator must enter the shifts, specifying also the start/end time and a possible break. The total hours of each shift can also be customized; for example, you can create a 4 hour shift that in total will take 8 hours. On the right, you can see the screen page with the shifts allocation in one day. | The coordinator can enable shifts for each day of the week for each section. For example (see sample on the right), you can have the shift T1 from Sunday to Friday and the shift T2 for all days of the week. For example, if you have a section into the division, you can enable the shift T3 in Section1 from Monday to Friday, and the same T3 in Section2 from Wednesday to Sunday. | 5. Create Work Profiles The coordinator must create work profiles that describe the methodology of rota-shift for each employee. With work profile you can define the work pattern of n employees. For example if you create a profile type "Standard - by requirements" you can define on which days and shifts an employee can work. You can also customize the contract and rota special rules. For example, one rule may decide that, if I work on Monday afternoon in shift T1, I must work on the next Saturday on the shift T1 and after that I must work on the next Sunday on the shift T3. | 6. Define your Staff Requirements
The coordinator can insert the staff requirements for any single day detailed for each shift, position and ability. For example, you can request 1 Manager and 5 Employees on Friday. You can be specified requests and ask for Monday on the shift T2 at least 2 employees and optimally 5 employees. | 7. Import Employees and Configure
First you need to enter the staff into staffRostering. This can be done in two ways: you may enter each employee manually OR, much faster and easier, you may import all at once from a spreadsheet. staffRostering has a file template that you simply fill and import. All is based on AJAX technology, which makes everything work much faster. | staffRostering allows to log and memorize the entire work history of each employee: employment status, level, rating, sections of appointment, job descriptions and contracts. For example, thanks to the historicizing of the data, you can generate future timetables based on the different capabilities acquired in time by a certain employee. | On the page Search Personal Particulars, clicking over the icons, you can view all your staff. For each employee you can quickly view "Contact Information", "Historicizing Work", "Statistics" and "Messaging System". | 8. Build the Schedule
Finally, in a few steps, you will be able to generate a schedule. |
